I have always loved paper, mark making and books. As a child I read, drew and painted constantly, writing and illustrating tiny handmade books and playing libraries with my bookshelves.
It was while studying for a Librarianship Degree at Loughborough University that I realised that I wanted to be an artist.
I trained at Bournville School of Art 1981-1983 and then studied at Falmouth School of Art, Cornwall, graduating with a B.A. (Honours) in Fine Art Printmaking in 1986.
I have lived aboard boats since 1988, working from printmaking studios in Cornwall and on the Isle of Wight and exhibiting handmade linocuts, etchings and artist's books in Britain and the USA. My books and prints are in public and private collections internationally, including Africa and America.
and am co-director of Redwing Gallery, a not-for-profit arts organisation.
